Can you help a 16 year old with a weight loss question?
I'm 16, 5'6, and 150 pounds. I want to lose 15 pounds the fastest way possible (in about a month). I will exercise and eat healthy. If I drink a little over 8 glasses of water a day for about a month, how much water weight will I lose and how long will it take to lose it in that one month?

- You can't lose 15lbs at your weight in a healthy way in one month. It would be possible if you were 400lbs to lose 15lbs quickly, but not at your weight.
- wat u do is drink a lot of gatorade instead of water to quench not only ur thirst but also ur hunger. this way u would eat less. that's wat i did n it worked.
- that might happen depending on your metabolism. But it would have to be really fast. I think that you have to get a new goal to loose in a month. Plus the question has too little information to truly say. Ever body body is different. Gartoaid has calories, and water gets rid of hunger without any calories.
- water isn't going to help you, all that crap is just a myth. What you need to do is eat small, healthy portions. Stick to fruits and veggies, and a little meat for protein. Snack on this stuff throughout the day, but remember small portions. And don't forget to take vitamins. Also get a gym membership, and go work out for about an hour a day. Or whatever is convenient for your schedule. And if you go work out with friends, you'll be less likely to get lazy and not go. Stay positive and you'll do really well! =]
- Increase your fiber up to 35mg a day. Do it gradually though. FIber is in WHOLE grains, fruits, vegetables and if you need a little more get some Fiber Sure. Nature will take care of the rest as long as you are otherwise eating healthy and staying away from the junk food. Keep up the water. You need it with fiber.
- Honestly, it depends if you're dedicated. When you make a plan, stick with it. Don't be lazy and keep on doing it. Keep your exercising and eating healthy regularly and you'll see results. I don't know how long it will take but I'm sure you can do it in a month if dedicated. 15 lbs doesn't seem bad.

- if youre looking for a "quick fix" you can expect to gain it back and then some. you are not that overweight at all, so why not do it the right way, ...and take your time... if you're eating healthy, drinking the water and exercising 30 minutes a day, you'll def lose, but dont be in a rush, 3lbs a week is easy if youre alot overweight, which you are not, so aim for about 2. good luck

- Like he said, 15 pounds is way too much to lose in one month. It may also be too much to lose for your height. But just make healthy eating choices, adding plenty of fruits and vegetables, cut out sodas and other hidden calories (like fruit juice- very high in sugar), and increase your exercise, especially cardio.
- If you want to lose weight, do not look for an "easy and fast" way to do it. Just get to it-- eat less, exercise at least 30 minutes a day, drink water, take your vitamins, get enough sleep. You can lose weight if you get started...oh, and stay away from salt because it helps you to retain water. 15 pounds in 4 weeks is an awful lot and not very realistic. Just do your diet one day at a time and get to it!! :-)
- If you exercise, cut back on your calories, and drink 64 ounces of water...you can lose about 2 pounds per week. So, in one month, you will have lost 8 pounds. Cut out sugary cereals, fast food, fried food, juice, and junk food. Increase your salad intake. Eat lean proteins. And, eat fruit. You could also join Weight Watchers to learn how to eat correctly. - i just wanted to say that im 15, 5'6 and 150 pds as well and i wanna get down to 130 what im doing is eating less, for example instead of 2 pieces of toasts and 2 eggs and orange juice, ill have 1 toast, 1 egg (or 2 egg WHITES) and water. excercise 30 mins each day, and youll lose it! i lost 6 pds in 3 weeks... it wasnt hard so this was surprising to me! remember if you get hungry inbetween, veggies have like no calories, so eat whenever u want a snack but never skip meals cos u need ur vitamins and proteins and a lack of it is UNHEAALTHY
- Don't stop eating please, as that makes you un-healthy. Do an all diet! Here is a scedual you could follow: 1: Breakfast: Fruit / low fat cerial with non-fat milk. 2: Snack: 1 piece of fruit / Bottle of water 3: Lunch: Fresh soup / with as many grapes as you can eat 4: Dinner: Good sized meal, do pasta bolonase, tuna pasta Follow this for 2 weeks. If you want to change any of the food because of allergies or something like that replace the food you don't want for something you know that is low fat and is healthy! THIS IS A QUICK WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT WITH OUT GETTING VERY HUNGRY! Good Luck =)
- drink a lot of water (its not a myth, it really works) and this will flush out some toxins and make you eat less ... also, eat more fruits and veggies and less fat and calories (about 1200 to 1500 is healty for dieting - no less!). exercise more than you do now - some cardio and sculpting.
- If you want to loose weight that fast. The best way is to go fat free dairy products. Not more then only one beef/pork containing meal in a week/2 weeks. No butter. Nothing fried , at all. Give up all candy, pastry and breads for now. Cereal-only high in Fiber and without sugar or very little sugar. Instead of sweets eat fruits. Instead of meat eat salmon or tuna. Cut your portions 3 times of what you'd usually eat and rather eat 5 times a day then 2 or three. Try not to exceed 1000-1500 calories a day. Go at least 5 days a week to the gym: 30 minutes on one of the cardio machines (bike, trredmeal, skii machine, etc) as your worm up, about 40 minutes of weight lifting in areas that need to be toned, 20 minutes on step master for a cool down and finish it off with a couple of streching exercises. I also recomend to do youga 2-3 night per week. Don't hesitate going to the beach or pool to swim on the weekend when you don't work out. And spend 2-3 days in sauna (10 minutes in, 20 minutes out, 10 minutes back in...). Instead of water drink unsweetened green tea throughout the day to speen up your metabolism.

- Ill tell you how to lose that in 15 days: 1. Fast for 1day. Drink nothing but water and 100% natural juices the the whole day. I recommend grape fruit juice and cranberry and apple and orange juices. 2. Eat strictly fruit the second and third day. Fruits are mostly water and will help you stay full and speed up your metabolism. Continue to drink the water and the juices. 3. Eat green leafy foods to expel the extra retained water in you body. Eat greens, cabbage, lettuce etc as raw as possible. If u make a salad use raw vegetables like carrots, beets, celery, etc. 4. Every day take 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar 3 times a day and once before every meal. The very high content of digestive enzymes will break down everything in your body and expel it. 5. Continue this for the rest of the 15 days and keep me updated. Stay away from all fast food, meat and dairy products during the whole 30 days. Ive helped many people lose weight before. Im working with a guy now, who's having progress.
