Postpartum Weight loss Questions?
How much did you gain? Did you lose it? How long did it take? What did you do to lose it?
I gained 49 pounds, starting at 136 and ending at 185. I've lost 25 pounds so far at 8 weeks postpartum. I'm breastfeeding and have been exercising for at least 30 minutes daily since 6 weeks postpartum.

- I started out at 130#... But I only gained 19# total. Afterwards I just went on with my normal life and it came off pretty quick. Within a few weeks I was back in my normal pants.. although a bit tight.. Probably just a few months. But again, I only gained 19# total. I'm sure for everyone its different and some people that weight comes off harder. Give yourself time. You just put on all that weight over 9 months. Don't expect it to come off right away. My goal was 6 months.. I was lucky.

- I am tall, I started at 186 and gained to 230. I lost 20 lbs right off the bat but the rest was slow even though i breastfed. He is 10 months old and I am still up 16 lbs. But, my schedule doesnt really cooperate with excercise. I work full time and am a single mom so I am limited as to the time I have to devote strictly to excersize. If u r not breastfeeding, u can begin eating healthier and in smaller portions. But since u r, its very important u keep your diet healthy and your intake is enough so your baby doesnt suffer. You are still very early in your postpartum. Dont expect it to just drop off. Keep focused on whats best for baby and then focus on u once he/she is off the breast. It will come off, but u will have to work at it. But, for now, just worry about baby and put yourself last. U will thank yourself in the long run. Sometimes we focus too much on other things and those wonderful little memories are lost that could be made with baby. My ped said not to worry about taking it all of for at least a year. I hit a wall a few months ago and didnt lose anything. But, I am starting to lose a little at a time again. It will happen hun, dont get discouraged! :) Good luck hun.
