  1. try running or walking for 30 minutes every day and take one day off during the week. it'll make you feel better about yourself, and help you lose weight!
  2. Keep fit, run about 3-5miles every day and eat only jam and bread, and you will be good-looking
  3. It sounds like getting your depression under control would be a major step to correcting your over eating. Its hard to give advice on depression as there can be so many causes and alot of people handle it differently. For me I found remembering that everything is short term helped. Where you live, what you do for a job, who you date, what pets you have etc, chances are 5 years ago alot of that was different and in 5 years time it may well have changed again. Enjoy life now and don't dwell on what has happened in the past too much. The second step is to increase your excercise, don't rely on a diet to fix your weight, get out there and do something that you enjoy. If you have fun doing it then its alot easier to be motivated. Running, swimming, bike riding, martial arts or join a sports team, theres alot of choices, but only you can say which will best suit you.
  4. it looks you need to get yourself in the habit of eating smaller portions. try eating half of what you normally do, and that way you wont be very hungry. you will get sick after eating only a little bit. well, not SICK but you wont want to eat as much. my friend did that. it totally worked. and if taht doesnt help, try drinking 3 glasses of water every time you get cravings. chew a peace of wrigleys gum. [5 cals per stick =)] dont watch alot of tv. and if you do watch a movie or somthing w/out comercials. comercials are a cue to get more food. go for a long walk. these sort of things will help your cravings. pick out a cute shirt you havent latly been able to fit into. set a goal. tell a friend you are going on a temperary diet. chances are, if your friend knows, you will have more support and do better. juming rope for at LEAST 25 min a day. [every min you are burning 23 cals] have a salad for lunch and one with dinner. one bottle of diet lipton green tea a day. drink nothing but water. i hope i helped =] <3 peace and good luck !
  5. You need a change in habits and not a diet as they are not for you. Set yourself an achievable goal and really focus on it. Rather than trying to lose weight quickly try and drop a dress size in three months. Then look at yourself in the mirror and if your happy keep doing what you were doing, else set another goal with a realistic time line. Dont try and make sudden drastic changes to your routine. to go from eating what ever you want to none is very hard, making you more likely to fail (which in turn will lower your self asteem and belief in yourself). The smallest changes can be really helpful i.e. if there is a light or extra light (diet or even 'zero' pop) option for your food pick that one. when cooking at home half the amount of meat you put in a recipe and double the veg, you'll hardly notice the difference. try and replace most of your snacks with fruit or veg (for every packet of crisps you could eat three apples!!!). Try not to keep any junk food in the house so when you get a craving you cant just grab something out the kitchen. When you do feel that you are going to binge think twice about what you are going to binge on, vegetable or rice crisps taste just like normal crisps but are far better for you, avoid chocolate that is doughy or caramaly and instead go for chocolate with wafer in the middle. Exercise is essential to losing weight, and doesnt have to be the chore of the day. If you do not exercise often at the moment 30min walk 3-4 times a week will work wonders!!! Hoover and thoroughly cleaning the house also work. If it gets you sweating and you do it for longer than 20min and do it 3 times a week it will be very effective. Ignore anyone that tells you to exercise 5,6, or 7 days a week, this will make you ill. When exercising you tire your body and weaken it. it is when the body heals it self from exercise that it makes itself stonger, and if you exercise too often it doesnt get time to heal and will only have a negative effect. As you improve you will find that you can increase the exercise you do but listen to your body and only increase when your body says it is ok. Even the smallest amount of exercise will turn fat into muscle which can make the weighing scales dis-heartening as muscle weighs more than fat. instead focus on your waist size or buy some scales that measure your body fat % (you can buy these from boots at the moment from about £10) Managing your weight has to be a constant thought process, the majority of people that lose weight put it back on within 10 years!!! Best of luck, really focus on your first goal, once you see that you've suceeded and are into new habits you will know that you can do it and are in control, its a great feeling! Make sure you reward yourself for your good efforts (not with naughty food) i like to buy new clothes for myself :?)
  6. If you really wanna be realistic then you can lose 4-5 lbs a week. Losing 30lbs should take roughly 6weeks. Simply lower your eating intake by 1/3 and eat as soon as you get hungry. This will increase your body's metabolism and help to burn that excess energy instead of storing it as fat. (Most importantly avoid light snacks in-between meals as this will increase your food intake without you even realising it). Also some exercises, nothing too drastic. Just 20 sit-ups in the morning, 20 sit-ups at night before bed. 10 push-ups morning and night and some extended brisk walks up-to 30minutes a day (a slightly hilly terrain is ideal), and a 15min jog only once a week. (and increase the number of walks/sit-ups etc as you get used to them). Follow this regime and your 30 lbs should drop within 6 weeks. And the best thing of all you really don't have to drastically change your diet or even exert yourself during exercise. And can actually be enjoyable. With this method, your not actually dieting, it;'s more of a lifestyle change. P.S. Walking on hilly terrain, at steep angles is great, probably the best from of buttock and leg exercise, they get real firm! (and do some light weights if you feel like it). And Drink plenty of water - preferably 5litres on average, this will help replenish your body, rehydrate your skin - it will have a healthy glow and also give you a more accurate reading of your weight when you weigh yourself as the initial weight loss is due to a lack of water retention. If you don't eat breakfast, your metabolism doesn't get started until you DO eat. You body goes into 'fat storing mode', just in case it doesn't get fed again for a long time. Its a defence/survival mechanism. Can I suggest that you have a good breakfast before anything else. Don't plan your day around food and eat when you're hungry and not fanciful. Stop eating when your tummy feels full. If you chew slowly the brain tells you are full a lot quicker.
