In our society, there are weight loss programs that recommend low fat, no-fat, or high protein diets.?

Should we eliminate fats from our diets altogether and increase proteins? What are some of the benefits that unsaturated fats and proteins provide when included in a balanced diet

  1. low and non fat products have higher amounts of glycermine (think I spelt it right) and contribute to weight gain and diabetes.
  2. You do need fat to live. For one thing, most of your brain is fat. Fat helps the neurons recieve signals and make you think faster and act smarter. Without fat at all, you would die. Low fat diets are never good because low fat usually equals high sugar. High protein diets can be good if paired with good carbs (fiber rich veggies and such).
  3. fats are not the enemy, high processed chemically laden foods made in factories are. just about every regenerative disease is linked to either an insufficient amount of healthy fats in the diet or the inability for the body to utilize them efficiently.
  4. Lose weight by modifying your meals Many people find that eating a couple of small snacks throughout the day helps them to make healthy choices at meals. A fattening breakfastof bacon and eggs or a pastry can be replaced with yogurt, oatmeal, high-fiber,low-sugar cereals; or fresh fruit or fruit smoothies. Look forhealthy, delicious meals online or in your cookbooks, and create amenu for the week. Make sure that your meal plan reduces your totalcalorie intake: you're not going to lose weight if you consume thesame amount of calories by eating different foods. Make a list ofwhat you'll need for these meals, and -- except for a few snacks,of course -- don't stray from your list when you get to the market.
