Anyone have any good weight loss programs for a teenager?

I am 14 years old and I am fat. I've been trying to loose weight but I just can't. Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be best if it works quickly. I am 14 years old and I am fat. Everytime I have to go to the doctor (to get a psyical for sports, when I get sick, etc.) they make it a point to tell me.

  2. To lose one pound of fat with Diet, you must eat 3,500 fewer calories than normal. to lose one pound of fat with physical activity, you must use 3,500 more calories than normal. I would suggest walking about half a mile to a mile each day, and ofter about a week lengthen your walks and start run walking. After about another week and a half of run-walking start getting off of walking and try to run only(at this point you should probably be running about 3 miles) If you run a 10 minute mile, then for every hour you keep up that pace you will burn 487 calories if u weigh 100lbs, 552 calories if u weigh 120 lbs, 650 calories if u weigh 150 lbs, 748 calories if you wiegh 180 pounds, and 833 calories if you weigh 200 lbs. here are some myths about eating: MYTH:skipping meals is a good way to lose weight. FACT: studies show that people who skip meals typically eat more than those who eat regular meals. This leads to a higher calorie intake than normal MYTH: if you limit the aount of fat in foods, you don't need to worry about the amount of calories the food contains. FACT:its is the total number of calories you consume that makes a difference in weight loss. foods that are low-fat usually contain even more calories than normal foods. Also, while bicyciling is good exercise, running burns more than twice the amount of calories. Running at a 10 mph pace is the BEST way to burn calories (about 625 calories per hour for a 100 lbs person). Jogging at about a 5 1/2 mph pace is great, only surpassed by continuous jump-roping for an hour, cross country skiing, and running at a 10 mph pace DO NOT!!!! take advice from people that are not certified in fitness instructing or nutrition or other form of exercising. They do not know what they are doing and can tell you things that may lead you to harm to your body. I have seen answers that are complete myths that can lead to dangerous muscle loss, weight GAIN, and just general injuries TO BETTER SAY WHAT YOU SHOULD DO, GIVE US YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT

Limit your red meat intake; take some B-Complex vitamin supplements; start exercising by taking a walk about one hour each day at a steady pace, then work your way up (by walking longer, or walking/jogging/running faster). Also, avoid iodinized salt as it can cause some bloating and water retention. Opt for little-to-no-salt; eat some smaller portions. DON'T detox. DON'T eat less than 1750 calories per day since you are still young and maturing. Avoid white flour, too. Should lose about 1-2 pounds per week. That's healthy.

  6. I recently ordered Winsor Pilates and it works miracles!!!! They have a 1 hr. fat burning workout that tones all of ur muscles while burning excess weight. Also they have a 20min workout that shapes your buttocks, inner and outer thighs. I strongly recommend it!!!
  7. exercise everyday. even if its walking around the block or taking the stairs instead of the elevator, it will help. also, keep a food journal. try to eat lots of veggies and fruit instead of packaged foods and you will lose weight. good luck! these two things are the only healthy ways to lose weight.
