Do you answer all these weight loss questions?

I think it is way too hard to answer these questions on Y/A......I like helping people myself but most people should understand the basics of weight loss....1. less calories...2. exercise....are people looking for an easy answer? I have tried to help friends but it seems a little complicated to answer on a question and answer forum

  1. This what you do, you get an answer for a basic set of questions like if there was one pertaining to starving yourself, to getting abs, to building muscle. Just like the people who are basically asking the same question as people 2 minutes before because they don't know how to use the search bar just copy and paste your answers. It saves you headache.
  2. I answered only this one :D
  3. I'm with ya brother! People are always looking for a shortcut, a magical alternative to ...reality. It all boils down to calories in vs. calories out, along with good nutrition and lots of fiber.. Everything else is going to have side effects, some of them not good!
  4. You're right, most people who are asking questions about losing weight seem to be looking for some kind of a easy method. A lot of people are looking for ways to lose weight and see results "fast". The problem is that they often don't describe what they mean by "fast". Other people simply don't understand (or are too young to understand) that losing weight healthily, safely, and effectively simply does not happen over night. And then there are others who seem to want to lose weight, even though their weight is considered "normal" for their height (and age). I just feel that there are many people who are not educated enough about diets and fitness in general. Perhaps schools should step up and do a better job of educating people about diet, fitness, and personal/physical well-being.
  5. I normally dont.I hang out in the P&S section lol But I agree.People want an overnight solution and it aint gonna happen.I tried for yrs and couldnt lose weight.I was however diagnosed with hypothyroidism and until I was treated I wasnt going to lose any anyway... Since being diagnosed in 2004 and started medication,I lost weight but maybe only 10 pounds the first year.My levels would never get right. When I finally dumped my regular DR and seen a specialist,It got under control and I started losing. But I also had to play a part in that.I dont excerise (i know bad) but I try and watch my portions, not eat junk all the time and since Mar 06 I've lost 63 pounds. I still eat what i want,Ive just learned more about portions and moderation. And drink A LOT of water. Im not blaming everything on the disease and make it sound like I lived off rabbit food and gained a ton of weight cause I didnt.I did over eat and I was an emotional eater.Ive just chose to change my ways. With the help of medication and watching what I eat,Ive lost the weight.Im sure if I did excerise Id lose more.To lazy I guess lol (i do however have 4 kids and 3 are young..so i DO get some excerise...)
