- At that size you need to speak to your doctor and a dietitian. They will give you the best advice on how to lose weight safely and keep it off. Good luck.
- eat until you are full. eat slowly the calories doesn't really matter just ask yourself if you are full. eat very healthy eat high fiber foods. run at least a mile per day or walk it would be fine. i stoped drinking soda and girl, the weight lifted off by just that! i don't suggest detox but i suggest you get a weight loss partner to keep motivated good luck!
- i am also 5'2 and I weigh between 190 and 180 depending lol. Check out sparkpeople.com get a free account and put in your height and weight and the amount you would like to lose and it will tell you how many calories you need a day. there is also a daily meal plan but you can put your own foods in there to kinda keep track of what you eat. Also check out dietdiaries.com Its just another little motivational site I like to use alongside sparkpeople.com As for exercise, just get started by walking maybe 10-15 minutes a day and each week increase it by 5 minutes. I gave up pop a couple months ago and trust me it was hard but way worth it. i just gave it up cold turkey. I had withdrawl headaches for a couple days but by the third day I was good. I dont even like the taste of pop anymore. I was the king of person who would almost throw up at the taste of water but I found that I really like the evian and the fiji water so if you have to try those. i buy a big bottle of evian every day, which is about 2 bucks. you can add the little flavor packs but i dont like them very much. let me know if you decide to check out those two websites! Good Luck!
- 1. 2,000 2. Run, Walk, Jump Rope, go back to playing Softball and volleyball. Also try girls basketball. 3. 8 glasses of water a day to stay healthy. Try low fat juice and milk.Yum! 4. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5. No 6. I have faith in you.
- 1.) Dont know about the calorie intake but ... 2.) Walk 3 miles a day (minumum), run if you can buy dont push it. Do it every other day 4 times a week. If you can, supplement it like I do by doing push ups at every street corner you reach (start with 2 per corner and when your feel its too easy, increase it). Point is, dont overexcert/underexcert yourself. IF its too easy, do it harder. Too hard, tone it down a bit. 3. Soda is okay in moderation, try cutting back. If its truly a vice for you, try changing one vice to another like I did by switching to coffee. Stick with water as much as you can. 4. No detox... IMO, you should go natural all the way. 5. When it comes to multi vitamins, calcium and iron supplements at the most since your a woman. 6. Inspiration. The path to a healthy body starts with the WILL to do your regimen properly and without shorcuts. *cue rocky 'eye of the tiger' music here*
- OK you shuold restrict yourself to about 1,500 or 2,000 a day with the calories. If you eat a lot of protein it will help you with eating healthy & feeling full. Also with cravings the best things are sugar free candies, pop sicles, ect. they are sweet, low on calories and fat & fill you up. ON the exercise you should do cardio at least 3 times a week for 30-35 mins at least. It will also benefit you to do squats, crunches, lunges, ect to strengthen your muscles. Dont do the same routine of exercise all the time, change it up. Maybe go walking in the park one day and do an exercise video the next. Also try different types of cardio aerobic exercises-this way it keeps your body on its toes and it doesnt become use to the exercise. Sorry to say but soda is a no-no. Limit yourself to one a day! I know its hard believe me. Drink as much water as you can(also orange juice-it will help with your vitiams) cause if you're working out you will need to replenish your body from what you sweat out. If you want to detox your system(you by no means have to cause your body will do that on its own to a certain degree once you begin eating healthy) eat more grains & fiber. Always take a mutlivitaim-its healthy and it will help fill in the holes of your diet that you struggle with. Most importantly inspiration- set goals for yourself at certain weight loss points(i.e once you lose 5 pounds you can buy a new pair of shoes) dont use food as a reward -it will teach you bad habits. I wouldnt suggest putting up pictures of those that you wish to look like because it will only hurt your self esteem and make you feel like a disappointment when you dont look like that. Remember that even though you may not lose pounds, you will lose inches and you will have weeks that you will lose a lot of weight then some that you dont lose any. Stay strong and good luck!
- 1. To figure out how many calories to eat, start my tracking how many you're eating now. Don't change anything for a day or two, so you can see what you're doing now. When you know how many you're eating now, cut 500. You can SLOWLY continue to cut about 500 at a time if you start to plateau, but DO NOT go below 1500 or your body goes into starvation mode and slows your metabolism down. 2. If you've been inactive for a while, start slow. Go on walks or whatever you like. You can go to a gym if you want, but you don't have to. I've heard that successful dieting is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Exercise is really important for health and maintenance, but ease your way in so you don't injure yourself. 3. Water is great for weight loss because it makes you feel full. Also, when you aren't drinking enough water, your body holds on to it making you heavier (water weight). If you start drinking a lot of water (at least 64oz/day) you'll probably lose several pounds without really trying. Water is also important because it aids in metabolism. Your body cannot function properly without enough water. At first, try substituting regular soda for diet. Eventually try to get rid of it all together or leave it for special occasions. 4. A detox is not necessary. Just try to eat healthy (whole grains, fruits and veggies, and plenty of lean protein) and you'll be fine. Detoxes can be dangerous and should be planned with a dietician unless you know what you're doing. 5. A regular women's multi is fine. You don't need to pay a ton of money for something expensive, but ask someone in the store for help. Inspiration. I used to weigh 230 pounds and am down to 157. I still have a few more to go, but it is possible. I haven't been crash dieting or taking pills or anything crazy. I've been eating healthy and exercising, but not stressing out about being perfect. Take your time (no more than 2lb per week) and take it seriously and you can do it.
- When the pain outweighs the pleasure we become willing to make some sacrifices and change our lifestyles..i was miserable at 152lbs (5'4 w/petite frame) so i went on a high protein, low-carb diet (NO BOOKS_NO OUTLINED PLAN) and i dropped down to 111lbs, which was a little too skinny so i got back up to 117lbs which is perfect and i've mainained it since November 2006. I was a coca-cola fanatic but i forced my self to switch to diet-coke, sweet-n-low instead of sugar in my coffee and tea... now i can't stand regular coke and i'm a diet coke feen. once you force yourself to go like two weeks in a different direction..it gets easier and easier til it becomes a new lifestyle (Yeah, NO MORE DIETS). You should drink half your body weight in ounces daily, so you weigh 210lbs/2= 105ounces; therefore, you need 5 to 6 bottles of water daily (18-20oz bottles). At the start i cut out rice, bread, pasta, & potatoes.... i ate lots of eggs, steak, chicken, pork chops, ribs, any kind of meat. The more protein (meats & eggs) you eat, the less you crave carbs (bread, pasta, sweets, etc...). Get through the first two weeks of carb cravings and you got it licked. i also forced down some nasty drinks that were full of protein...it;s called isopure, i never took any vitamins but the isopure has some in it. you need lots of B vitamins for energy. in the beginning i also exercised with videos at home (never longer than 30 minutes)...i started with pilates, moved up to turbo jam and core rhythms. i eat anything i want now, i don't exercise anymore or drink water/ isopure....and i've maintained 'MY' ideal weight for 6 months, but i get full real fast because i shrunk my stomach so much. i lost a total of 42lbs in 7 months, actually lost 12lbs the first 5-6 weeks. I was one of those people who was feeling hopeless about my weight situation and even considered lipo....thankfully my prayers were answered....secret tip: pray for self-discipline in that area of your life, it works! I wish you the best of luck girlfriend, get it off soon and go get that new bikini this summer...YOU CAN DO IT BABYDOLL!!!!!
- Do yourself a huge favour and join Weight Watchers. They will be able to help you will so many issues connected with your weight. It's easy to follow and will help you address the issues that caused you to get so overweight in the first place. Best of all, if you get it right now, you will never ever need to worry about your weight again. In answer to your question about water you should be drinking a minimum of 3 pints a day. That may seem a lot but it's just a matter of getting into the habit of it. In a perfect world it would be pure unadulterated water.....but in a perfect world we'd all be the right size, so if you have to have flavoured water it's better than nothing. What you need to be careful of is drinks containing sugar or caffine. Sugar obviously bumps up the calorie content for no nutritional value, caffine acts as a diretic and actually takes water out of your system. Any type of exersise is good, start by taking a brisk walk 5 days a week or join a dance class. As you lose weight you will find you enjoy the exercise more and want to do more. I personally wouldn't bother with a detox of multi vitamins because I've heard conflicting things about the health benefits of them. Good luck
