  2. your best bet is lots of water and sweat how much do you need to lose is the ? sweat the weight off but be careful
  3. if you loose weight too fast the skin gets all saggy as it doesnt have enough time to adjust...just eat healthy, sounds like you go to the gym enough but you could always try everyday
  4. first of all diets do not work ive tried them all lol the best thing to do is just change your diet to a healthy 1 and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time and the weight will just come off you ive been doing this since may and have lost 2 stone and i eat loads its just eating the right foods goodluck !

  6. definitly remeber to keep it healthy - no matter how desperate the weight loss is needed. i've done fasts etc, and they are really very short term and actually must better for detoxifying than weight loss, so won't help much for this. better is just strict, smart monitoring of your excercise and food. basically, it sounds like your excercise amount is good - so just watch your calorie intake/vs outtake. make sure your caloric intake is less than the amount you burn during the day, through excercise or just basic body functions. to do this, work out for your height/sex/age/etc what your intake should be (http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm may help with that), and either google or grab a book detailing the calories in your food, and the calories you burn in your excercise. this will also give you good ideas about what excercises would be better for weightloss (eg, running). i've definitely found it helpful when i've needed to lose weight to write down details like this so you remember what's going in/out. if you do that, and make sure that the food's your eating are healthy, wholegrain and don't have too much unnecessary/unhealthy fat (rely on fish, nuts, avocados etc for healthy fats), then you are guaranteed weightloss, you'll be able to understand and control. and it's a practice for life. other little tips that may help 1. drinking water, particularly warm water ie, peppermint tea keeps you feeling fuller, as well as helping your body out and keeping skin gorgeous :) similarly, i find chewing on ice, or frozen juice can help when you are craving food you know you don't actually need. 2. try not to reward yourself with food - if you are doing well and being really healthy, don't give yourself chocolate or chips as a reward - take a long bath, get your nails done, go out for coffee with friends instead 3.watch alcohol intake - the calories in that are useless and surprisingly high 4. stick sticky notes up on your fridge or mirror reminding you of your goal good luck! :)
  7. Fasting or extreme diets will NOT help you lose weight. In fact the opposite happens and you'll be more likely to store more fat. If the body thinks it is starving (which is what you are doing to it) it holds on very tightly to every single bit of fat it can, because fat is a long term energy provider. It is doing this to try to extend your life in a famine situation! Instead, eat 4 small meals throughout the day. This way, the body knows there's always a constant supply of food coming, so it will get used to it and increase your metabolism to get energy. An increased metabolism means you burn off more calories faster. You already go to the gym 3-5 times a week which is excellent. In the days you don't go to the gym, start doing long runs, like 5-8 miles. Increased metabolism, increased cardio exercise = healthy weight loss.
  8. Mike T is correct about fasting and extreme diets not working. They are also dangerous as is rapid weight loss. Learn how your body utilises different types of foods- fats, carbs, proteins, and you can change your diet to suit your lifstyle, to loose weight and then maintain that weight. Changes to yout dietry habits must be ongoing so spartin diets dont work in the long term.
  9. I've lost weight on the South Beach Diet - there's loads of resources for this popular diet. It wasn't extreme, and didn;t require loads of rules. You simply cut out bread, pasta, potatos etc for 2 weeks, then gradually re-introduce them. I lost 1.5 stone in 2 months, and found it really easy. It's a really sensible eating plan, and I loved it. You really can't beat a sensible eating plan, along with some excersize.
  10. You are asking for a fast quick failure! Fast weight loss is difficult and unhealthy. The body switches to starvation mode and conserves calories, it also tends to swing the weight back on again quickly! Slow and steady wins the race!
  11. Hi. I'm a vegan, and in my experience, most people consider that to be pretty extreme. In case you are unfamiliar with it, it means no meat at all (even fish), no dairy products (including cheese, milk, yogurt, etc.) and no eggs. Other foods and additives such as honey, whey and casein are usually avoided as well, but the meat, dairy and eggs are the big ones if you're just doing it for your health or weight loss. It can be an extremely healthy way to eat, if properly planned, actually. It has the nice benefit of being a cholesterol-free diet that is usually quite low in fat as well. I lost over 50 pounds in about 6 months (with 3-5 days a week exercise like you) and have never felt better or more energetic in my life. I focus on vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans and soy products.
