Is it me, or are there alot of people asking dumb weight loss questions who are trying to get out of cardio?? They ask questions about targetting weight loss in a specific area of their body (impossible) or getting ripped abs through some unknown miracle ab workout. The formula is the same for all their questions. Eat healthy, drink your water and RUN!
I have some metabolism and weight loss questions? I'm 16, and I want to lose weight. I drink 8-15 ice cold glasses of water and 1-3 glasses of organic green tea a day. I eat about 2-3 meals a day and almost everything that I consume is organic. My calorie in take is about 1000 give or take. How much weight would I lose by september/what is my weekly weight loss? I exercise 4 times a week by playing soccer and doing crunches,jogging in place for 30 minutes, and a little bit of weight lifting.
Do you answer all these weight loss questions? I think it is way too hard to answer these questions on Y/A......I like helping people myself but most people should understand the basics of weight loss....1. less calories...2. exercise....are people looking for an easy answer? Questions about supplements and weight loss? I do not want to take any diet pills I did before and it is too expensive and does not take off that much weight. My questions are what supplements can I take that help you drop weight naturally. I take green tea extract which increases metabolism. I also take Flax Seed oil which also helps with weight loss. Does anyone recommend anything else natural that promotes weight loss. My second question is how can I take Flax seeds instead of the oil? Any suggestions? I do not want to just eat them plain.
Why do people keep asking questions about weight loss? This has been asked and answered thousands of times.? This keeps being asked over and over, every day, ad nauseum. How many times can the same thing be asked and answered. Look at the search for questions bar, type in weight loss and you will be able to read all 10,000 times this has been answered. So, my question is WHY does this keep getting asked? Do people think they will get a different answer from all the other answers given? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and asnwer this.

Answers swamped with weight loss questions!? About 1 in 20 questions is now about trying to loose weight. I am sure this reflects the number of people with a problem and the concern that they have. The majority seem to have unrealistic expectations, most of which involve them not getting off the couch. What is beginning to happen is that regular answer contributors are increasingly, like me, giving their own answers again and again, either straight cut and paste, or slightly modified to fit the question. I would suggest anyone with weight issues type in weight loss and look at old questions and answers, because it is becoming repetitious and is swamping much of 'Answers'. OPINIONS PLEASE
Why is it that I see tons of questions about weight loss mostly from Women here? I have never seen a question about weight loss from a man EVER here, but women, I see one every 2 minutes.

Weight loss questions? I have a few questions about weight loss: 1) Running. I've heard that running isn't even a very good method for losing weight, which doesn't sound correct to me because people are always running to lose weight. Is it true that a slow jog, fast walk, or sprinting/walking intervals, are better than running for a long time at a medium intensity? Why is there this myth if it's not true? I don't mind running that much if I have good music, but I'd rather do something that's more conducive to weight loss if it isn't. 2) I'm 20, 5'7, 150 lb.s and want to get down to about 125-130, nothing too extreme. I've heard on average at my size you should only lose about 1 lb. a week which would take me 6 months to lose that much. I know if you lose weight too fast it will just come right back, so it's about lifestyle changes. But is there anything I could do to speed up the results, not too drastically, but maybe to 3-4 months? Any other good workout tips/advice are welcome! Thanks :)
I have some realistic questions about weight loss? I need someone who makes sense and has knowledge of the following weight loss questions. 1. How is it true that when you don't eat you can actually gain weight? If you have nothing going in, how can you get bigger? 2. How is it that you can gain 3- 5 pounds, but not eat 3 - 5 pounds of food? 3. How is fat truly burned off? I don't mean what to do to burn it, but what is the process and what is involved? 4. Starch isn't fat, so why is it said not to eat a lot of starch in weight loss? ( Besides the health factors) 5. I eat only a little bit of food each day, but I have gained weight. And I am gaining more than I eat lol. Like if I only eat a bown of vegtable soup everyday at the end of the week I may have gained 2 pounds. How is this possible? 6. This may sound similar to one of my other questions, but how is it that some ailments such as thyroid disease can cause you to gain weight no matter what you do? Even if you don't eat or eat right? FYI - I had a baby 5 months ago. After i had teh baby it was like no weight dropped off and that was really odd. Before preggo land I ate like a pig and was 127ish. Right now I am almost 167 and no matter what I do the weight won't leave and I have done everything.

Why does it seem like the majority of questions are about weight loss? Hell, if you're really that worried about losing weight, get your fat ass off the computer and go out for a walk. Sitting in front of a screen all day isnt gonna drop those pounds! I think its pretty obvious that proper diet is the most important factor in weight loss, especially when combined with exercise... so get crackin!
please read and respond to my weight loss questions. I'm 15, 5'2, 135 pounds. I feel so overweight. I'm size 7 in jeans and I'd love to be size 1. Please answer if you are good with Biology. A weight loss question? I'm a nursing student and the following info I'm going to provide, I've learned it in my Nutrition class. It's been a while so my terminology isn't perfect. But you'll understand what I'm talking about. Take a girl, for example. Her body needs carbs (glucose) for energy. Okay. She gets that from food. When she stops eating, the glucose stored in muscle will be used up for energy then. When that's done, the stored glucose in the form of fat in her body will be used (in other words, the fat would be used up for energy). My question is, why is that a bad thing? Isn't that the way weight loss is supposed to work? I understand that once that stored fat is used up as well, the body will start breaking down muscle for energy. Why do people say that when you severly restrict your calories or stop eating altogether, after water weight loss, the first thing to go is muscle? Please understand that I am not anorexic. this is something I've been curious about for a while. Thank you for the great answers, everybody. Weight loss question; why do some lose quicker and more than others? My wife and I have been following a points weight loss program like Weight Watchers but not their actual system. It's slightly different because we are following the "Wendie" plan. Basically we stay within the points range set down for our weight but vary it from day to day. Some days are very low, at the bottom of the range. Others are high, at the upper range. One day a week is very high, about 10 points over the high point range. Overall we stay about 10 points under the total points alotted for a single week. We have been on the plan since June 18th and other than an additional point here or there we have both been true to the points plan. The problem is that I have lost 19-1/2 pounds and she lost only 4. We both work out but in different ways. She does much more cadio i.e. biking, riding a Gazelle machine, and walking/ running with the kids. I do very little cadio, 60 to 90 minutes a week, work out with weights and sit in a steam room. Why am I having so much more success?

I have 3 weight loss questions.? I desperately need help. I am 16 years old and I weigh 210 pounds. I want to lose weight so badly, but it's hard. WEIGHT LOSS QUESTION ABOUT HOW OFTEN TO EAT? I know its important to eat frequently when trying to lose weight so that my metabolism stays up but by doing so i often find myself eating when i'm not hungry. Its not like i'm eating too much at a time or anything(about 350 calories) i just dont get hungry as fast as some people. SO i'm wondering would it be better to not eat and go longer between small meals but risk not having as fast a metabolism or to eat anyways? Help!
Working out, lifting weights, and weight loss questions.? Two co-workers and I go to the gym at least 4 days a week, sometimes more. I am doing a high protein, high fiber diet of around 1,200 calories a day. We use all the weight machines, free weights, treadmill and stairstepper. I wonder how long it will be before we begin to see weight loss on the scale. I realize that gaining muscle will cause you to sometimes gain weight before you actually loss, but I was curious as to how long it may be before we see results on the scale. It has only been 3 weeks, but at this point I have not budged on the scale. Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions? I have an 18 month old son and still have about 30 pounds of pregnancy weight on me. I plan to get pregnant again in about 4 months and really want that extra weight off before I gain baby weight again. Thanks in advance for any help!

Weight loss questions! please help anyone!! ? Im on a healthy diet eating 4 (or sometimes 5) small meals a day. I do aerobics 2-3 times a week for an hour, 15 minute jogs every morning except sat & sun i do 45 minute walks/jogs. I also do 10-15 minimum or cardio activity a day. Stretches and crunches, situps, etc. I just have a few questions!: How many calories should I eat a day. ive been trying to make it around 1200. Will that put my body in starvation mode or will I be alright? If I dont eat after 6pm will this have an affect on losing weight? some people say it does.. but is it true? please explain. A few little weight loss questions...? 1. I have A LOT of weight to lose. I'm 5'6" and about 235. I have troubles sticking to just water. Elliptical Trainer/Weight loss questions? If i burn about 500 calories on elliptical trainer everyday and don't eat junk food or sometimes cut down what I eat (But no junk food, more like grain products I eat) will I be able to lose about 20 pounds in about 3-4 months? Oh and just what does the Tension Control does on the elliptical trainer? At first it was 3 which was a little bit heavy but not that much and I turned it to 1, it became less heavier. Will I be able to burn 500 calories in 30 minutes on elliptical trainer if my Tension Control is low? I want to lose weight, I really don't want to have muscles. And if I do lose weight, will the muscles in my calves shrink? And does 20 pounds make you look really different? How much calories should I eat a day anyways? Postpartum Weight loss Questions? How much did you gain? Did you lose it? How long did it take? What did you do to lose it? I gained 49 pounds, starting at 136 and ending at 185. I've lost 25 pounds so far at 8 weeks postpartum. I'm breastfeeding and have been exercising for at least 30 minutes daily since 6 weeks postpartum.
Why do people ask such stupid weight loss questions ??????? i thought this section would be full of questions about hints and tips on diet and excersice(to make the most of what you are doing) but all that ever seems to be on here is stupid questions like if i dont eat for a month will i lose weight ????it drives me mad .The way to lose weight is to cut down on calories , eat a balanced and healthy meal not cutting out any food group ,and excercise .Im no saint when it comes to being on a diet but people we all know wots healthy and whats not .Only eating apples or carrots or whatever will not work ??????Does this kind of thing bother anyone else or just me ?????????? like the quote bill as i said at the very beginning of my question , its tips and hints that i would have expected .Im sorry if u disagree with this but asking if only eating carrotts for a month or anythin else like that IS a stupid question the person asking knows this yet still asks ,THATS wot i find weird well said brandy ,im totally with you ,you should be happy with your body and diets shouldnt be your life .Its totally up to the individual to lose a few pounds if they wish it shouldnt be forced upon

I am not sure if I can control myself enough though to pick the right foods. 2. I have absolutely no will power. I mean, I melt anytime chocolate is in site. Weight loss question~~how long until any pounds or inches should drop? I am the type of person that gains weight evenly and also loses it evenly. I have worked out for at least an hour each day this week after work, have decreased my calorie intake as well as decreased my soda intake. My question is, how long (on average) does it take for any progress to be evident? I haven't really noticed clothing fitting better yet or pounds dropping so it's a tad frustrating. Weight loss question. When you do not have the time to excersise? I have a daughter that has had a liver transplant and cannot go to any kind of gym daycare or out to parks because of the germs. I have about 20 excess pounds from being pregnant with her and cannot seem to drop it. I do not have time or opportunity to get to the gym and I am at the hospital stuck in a room with her about 50% of the time. Weight Loss? Questions inside (more than 1)? I'm 13 years old and 6'3 feet &inches I weigh about 248 pounds at my last weigh in. I know I need to lose weight and Im quite aware of my situation. I've been working on it since November. Ok here's my question.. I work out 5-7 times a week each day burning 2200 calories + or - 100-200 calories depending. What I want to know is...can extensive workouts like cardio kickboxing & weightlifting (Moderate weightlifting) prevent true weightloss and fill in my fat weight with muscle mass? I've been wondering this for a while now because my weight has been fluctuating (although I was 260 in November) around 250 lbs or so. I just wanted to know if my question is possible.. and also I have another question here.. How long does it take for a teen like me to adapt to moderate exercise like this? My average life is sedentary and I dont do much.. Misc Info: Caloric Needs (websites): 2200 calories a day BMI-- electronic scale dont know accuracy: 33% Weight Target:200-210lb diet:1200 calories daily Also-- workouts are: 1 hour a piece of cardio kickboxing-1200 calories burned or 1 hour a piece of- A mix of Calisthenics + Cardio / Jogging -- 1200 calories I eat primary balanced meals.. but maybe I should add another plausible question to this Am I eating enough?!? Maybe my metabolism is slowign down because I eat 1200 calories a day. I'm not quite so sure..

Workout and weight loss questions. Am I doing it right? I have been using my treadmill 3-4 times a week for almost 4 weeks and have been told that i look better and my clothes fit me better. I do 35 mins on the treadmill, usually a mix of fast walking and jogging and walking on an incline with a 5min cool down. The calorie meter says i am burning between 160 and180 calories. Im not restricting my food, just eating moderately. I decided i wasn't going to weigh my self because i have an unhealthy relationship with the scales. But today i decided to weigh myself and i have not lost any weight. I told my self muscle gain or hormonal weight fluctuations must be responsibe and jumped on the treadmill. i am 25, female. * Should one expect to gain much muscle in the first month? * Is the calorie counter on a treadmill accurate at all? * Am I burning enough calories? * Would it be better to jog for the entire half hour or is bursts of walking and jogging just as good?

Couple of weight loss questions, any answers? I'm looking to lose about 45 pounds, starting this summer. I've heard that I should drink .7oz of water per pounds that I weight, which would be 122.5 oz (about 4 nalgenes worth). Also, I should be taking 1 gram of protein every pound that I weigh, but my concern in that how I'll be able to get this. I don't eat much protein-containing food, so is there some type of supplement I could take. I'm taking Omega 3's as well, if that matters. My goal here is go from a 13-year old, 5'8", 175 pound beast to a muscular and lean 13 year old, hopefully around 130lbs. Mainly, I want to gain muscle around my pecs, chest, stomach, hips, thighs and calves, as that's where most of my weight shows. I'm going to start going to the gym, running about 2 miles every time, in order to improve my time and of course, weight. What kind of food regimen should I use, including lunch at school?
WELLBUTRIN XL weight loss questions? I have been on wellbutrin for 5 months and iv lost about 15 pounds. Im actually getting a bit too skinney but i like it alot and would prefer to stay this way oopsed to a couple extra pounds on me. So when losing weight, the very basic drill is diet, exercise, water and cut all that sugary crap...My question is, I have been exercising for 1/2 hour per day by kind of jogging or walking really fast on the treadmill. I eat three meals per day with little sugar and a friendly weight loss snack, when is it will the results show? Oh It's been about four or three days. I feel less stressed, more social and happier. A couple of questions on weight loss? Hi, i've got a few questions, I'm 16, and put on a lot of weight whilst out injured from rugby. I'm 5ft9 and 93kg, which according to BMI is obese, I have quite a lot of muscle mass, so do not look gigantic, but i want to get rid of that excess fat. As I do not want to build more muscle, should I only attempt cardio, or will my muscle vanish whilst I try and slim? My main exercise is cycling at the moment, and my legs are already big (muscular but with some fat), will it slim them down or bulk them up even more? Hi, I have a female hormone problem called PCOS and it causes weight gain, and alot of my being over weight is a lack of self control and exercise.I have been dieting since New Years as part of my resolution and I started out at 225 pounds and as of the 25th I was 211. Several questions on weight-loss.? I'm a 22 year old male and weigh 270 pounds with a height of 5'10. I've been told my weight should be around 180, though I expect if I can meet my goals I'll still weigh more than that. I've been lucky in that while I'm very overweight, I've seen many guys my same height that weigh less but still look much worse than I do. I'm lucky that my weight is mostly balanced on my body and not all in one spot. However I'm still far from looking good with this much weight. 1. Is it still possible for someone who's been so overweight and had such a big stomach to eventually work to getting toned abs? Honestly I know being healthy is important, but looks are the biggest motivator in my opinion. 2. Sagging skin? I've heard losing weight slowly can prevent this. True or no? I'm guessing if saggy skin is unavoidable, that would make something like toned abs pretty pointless. 3. If losing weight slowly is recommended. What is a good rate of loss? 2-3 pounds a week? Questions about weight loss excess skin and exercising...? I am a 22 year old female who is 5' 10" tall and I weigh 200 lbs. I gained a lot of weight in my childhood and teens by 16 I was 263 lbs. When I was 20 I got fed up with being so fat and basically starved myself down to 190 lbs. I have maintained my weight at 200 lbs for the last 2 years. I know what I did was not a healthy way to lose weight. I am still overweight and would like to get down to 140-150 lbs. I am kind of tall so I don't want to weigh like 120 lbs I don't think that would be reasonable. I want to lose the last 50-60 lbs in a healthy way; I'm thinking either Weight Watchers, counting carbs/portion control w/ exercising. Basically, my question is when I get to my goal weight will I have excess skin??? I want to lose the extra weight slowly and gradually so hopefully I won't have to deal w/ excess skin. Speed walking and after work i walk for two hours with weights. I have weights in my ankles my wrists my upper arms and a slimming waist belt. My question is I have been drinking nothing but water (10 glasses a day) except if its fresh juice, eating very healthy (1000 calories a day) no meat (watching what I eat and my calories) I enjoyed top's program at work too. So sorry my question is i have been doing this for a week and everyday when i finish my body hurts so i make sure to get plenty of rest. I warm up before I exercise. I also do five to ten minutes of jump rope, push ups, and thigh exercise. I am trying to do this for the month of December. Questions about weight loss? I recently started to watch what I eat and ride my bike to try and lose weight, having had twins last year (I have 3 or 4 sizes I need to lose to get back to "normal"). I just started and already can see a few improvements, although there's still a loooong ways to go. But here's the problem... For some reason, I'm seeing growth in arm muscle (although, no toning really at all) and it's causing some stretch marks on the under side of my arm. I'm not trying to gain muscle there at all, my arms were (in my mind) too big before anyway because I naturally have "invisible" muscle there (it's there, it's just not toned-looking). I'm a bit unsure how to lose the weight I want and tone my legs and stomach (again, I ride my bike daily and I do crunches) without encouraging growth in my arms. Advice?
Weight loss question? I am on the Weight Watchers program and I have already lost 24 pounds but overall 35 pounds. I am loving exercising. I go twice a day for 4 days, then 2 days I go once, and the last day I do some work around the house and etc., just basically movement. But my question is... for weight loss, I workout on the cardio and weights, but I do maybe 10 minutes to 30 minutes on each of the machines. Is it better to workout on the cardio for long period of time or workout on different machines for shorter periods of time? I bought an elliptical 2 weeks ago I need to lose about 75lbs and I want to do this the right way.Last week I was on for 20 miniutes a day for five days this week I started on 25 and intend to add a few miniutes on every day I am I guess keeping a pace of 65 and have the resistance on two and then I get it up to four is that ok? I don't want to add on musle I want to lose the weight. Please can someone help me out and let me know if I am doing ok? Also how long before you see the results typiclly?

A few questions about Weight loss, look, motivation...? I have gained a lot of weight since high school. I am averaging about 10 pounds a year. I used to be 120-125(I'm 5'7") and now I am 150-155. I really don't like how much bigger I have gotten but I am too lazy to actually go & work out. How can I get self motivated to go work out? Even though I hate the way I look it still has not motivated me to do anything. I'll go to the gym every other day for about a week every couple of months but can't seem to keep it up because I end up "too busy" I do work M-W 14hr days Sun/Thu/Fri 8 hr days. So I really only have saturdays off & th/fr nights. Also, I am such a junk food eater. I seriously dont eat anything healthy. I like breads, pastas, and meat. I don't eat salads,or any fruits or veggies for that matter. I need ways to get self motivated & eat right & keep on a workout plan. Also, I would like to know what other 5'7" 155 lbs women look like. Just as a comparison because friends are nice and say "you're still skinny" but I know better...

Unique weight loss Question....? I need some advice on weight loss. This is not a normal situation. I have a condition called ataxia which does not allow me to do normal exercise. I dont move around much at all due to the fact that I have hardly no balance or coordination. My question is should I lower my calories drastically to compensate for the lack of exercise or is there some sort of special supplement I can talk. healthy weight loss question? everywhere i look, i see people mentioning, 8 lbs a month, 2 lbs a week, is the MOST you want to lose. I understand the whole crash diet thing and all those other ways to lose weight fast dont work in the long run, but ive got a question. ive lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks of june so far and am planning to lose more(hopefully) ive done this not by crash dieting, ive been drinking more water, working out at the gym 6 days a week, ive got an EXTREMLY physical job, where i work unloading trucks for UPS about 20-25 hours a week, ive been walking/running 5 miles a day, and then on top of all that, everyday i try and play basketball or rollerblade. my calorie intake is never ever ever below 1200, the so called starvation line, i usually take in 1900-2200 cals a day... on good days(days without any splurging) so is my weight loss for this month healhy? i dont want to gain it all back, but i dont feel like im doing anything wrong. any advice?
Weight loss question ? I am a 5'7 male and weigh 190 pounds. I have some muscle on me but I also and kind of chubby. Like when I'm fully clothed people think i'm pretty muscular but when my shirts off they know i'm chubby. My question is if i lose 20 - 25 pounds will it make that much difference in my apperance ? After weight loss, what health risk do you run? (Long, other questions)? Before I get started with my question, I guess I should give some background (its needed heh). I am turning 29 this month, and im extremely overweight. Around 500 pounds, however i'm 6'7 so I can still get around with a bit of back pain. I have a severe anxiety issue that has kept me in the house for a few years, which of course lead to depression, which lead to huge weight gain. Over the past year though to their credit my doctors got my medication lined out and my anxiety has gotten to the point I have no trouble going out anymore. im ready to rejoin society, and get back to work (Im currently unable to work). .For the past month I have cut my food take in half, work out in house a bit (Its like 100 degrees everyday out here). However, im in such extremely bad shape im really worried about my heart. I'm afraid while working out im going to fall over dead at any point. I figure though my tolerance will go up and it has, but still im worried. I worked as a furniture mover from 14 to 23, ate as bad as I do now, but the job kept the weight off (275 range but was built great, without bragging heh). When I ended up inside for these past few years the gain exploded. Ok now for the questions 1. Have I already done permanent damage to myself? Far as I know I don't suffer from any illness (aka my sugar is fine). For example, if I got down to 275 pounds (which I would be extremely happy with, I am 6'7 and extremely broad) am I still going to run a higher risk of dropping over dead from working hard (manual labor) or say jogging for a few miles. I know that I will have much less of a chance than doing nothing at all, but would like to know what I can expect. I'm not sure of the physical risk one runs after being as large as myself then dropping the weight. This question is mostly around my heart more so than anything else. 2. Is there any good tips how I could monitor my heart rate or something so I can be assured im not overdoing it. It doesnt take much at all for my heart to pound fast and me go out of breath. Is there a device or something I could put on my wrist I can keep track of during work out? Can I keep track it myself via counting, and what should that rate of beatting be? Anyhow those are the questions, they been kinda bothering me. As I said I have anxiety and honestly im pretty worried im going to give myself a heart attack working out so hard now, or later when I go back to work if I do get the weight down to where I want. I got a degree now (yay online degrees) so hopefully wont have to return to physical labor. I quit smoking, so I know I can do this :) Anyhow any help/advice would be great.
Questions about my weight loss are really starting to irritate me... what would you say? In the last year, I have lost about 40 pounds. It started when I lost my job and I just wasn't able to get things down because of the depression or stress. I did try to eat SOMETHING every 3 hours because I know how important food is to my health. And I LOVE food. That being said, I am forever getting comments from people I have known since I was heavier. Family, neighbors, friends. They ask every time if I have lost even more weight and I haven't. They just don't see me every day and are reminded that I have lost so much when they see me. My husband and son and mother aren't among those that make these comments. They think I am fine. Those that I have been working with never say a thing - and they only knew me after the weight loss. I am 5'5" and 115-120 pounds. I am really small boned and my mother has the same stick arms and legs that I have - and have always even when heavier. Just seems more obvious now. What would you say to the comments? It's almost like they think I'm sick.

weight loss question? I'm 16 and have been in the process of losing weight for about 5 or 6 months now. I started about 210 and am now about 180-185 which I'm proud of, however I want to speed up the process. I don't have any official diet or exercise plan or anything like that, I've just been making it up as I go along. I try to do some sort of exercise everyday, do 50-100 crunches, about 35 push ups, and I lift free weights every other day or so and I simply try to keep my diet healthier (no more sodas, healthy snacks, smaller portions etc.). My question is what exercise is most efficient for fat loss. I typically either play basketball for about an hour or ride my bike for 30 minutes (no coasting) as my daily exercise and I am wondering which of these is better and if there are any others that I could easily do everyday that would be better. thanks

My friend is in dire need of weight loss, she doesn't have much energy and can't afford to buy weight loss products, like gnc, or trima spa, etc. She won't see a Doctor no matter how many times I bug her. She can't exercise in her apartment cause she lives on the second floor, so she don't want to make any noise. No treadmill or exercise bike. She eat's ok, salad twice a day and dinner she just pigs out. And always eating snacks. I don't know what to do to help her, I've tried almost every outdoor and indoor exercise. Biking, walking, situps etc. She has problems getting off the floor, she's a big girl. I would like to honestly help her cause I am her only friend really, I tried to get her in exercise classes but she's just a big girl and she's self conscience so she won't do it. Weight loss Question? I would like to know if anyone know what are some good exercises to do at the gym to loss weight. I currently eat right and I walk 30 mins on treadmill I have the incline up and the treadmill says I burn about 300 calories and then I use this weight machine and its about 15 lbs I do 60 of those. Then I do the butt blaster 15 on each leg about 25 lbs then I do thighs the inner 80 and outter 80 (dont know the name of the machine) and then I do 50 crunches the 10 on each side the I go back to the treadmill for 30 minutes. I eat healthy small meals through out the day and I recently bought a sauna suit used it once and I sweat alot when I walk around the track outside I really like using that because I rarely sweat when I'm at the gym. I didnt loss weight yet not even 1 lbs. what am I doing wrong I go to the gym every day. Any suggestions?

hypothetical weight loss question...? This might seem lengthy and contrived but I will do my best... it has been stated that cardio sessions that last well over an hour can have detrimental effects such as muscle loss due to a prolonged lack of calories (as is my understanding your body chooses to switch to your muscles as a source of energy rather than your body fat after a certain point in time). Now, if I decide to hit the treadmill/elliptical/stairmaster for 5 straight hours with 100 calorie boosts every 500-600 calories burned (with an apple, granola bar or what have you) can I in effect shunt that mechanism that burns muscle back to fat? I actually tried this for 2 hours before and managed to lose 5 pounds in one week with no drops in the weight room numbers, but I am not sure if it is really safe (apart from feeling miserably hungry I didn't really feel bad at all). Can I really burn large amounts of fat if I take in small amounts of calories in given intervals in a long workout?
Exercising and Weight loss question? I have started a weight loss program and already lost 30 pounds in 3 months. Which seems drastic to me, but now i am at 245 pounds and i am 6'2". I want to make it down to 200 pounds. I work out an hour a day 4-5 days a week. I've have kept a cardio focused workout scheduel, but i fear that if i don't do weight training i may be affecting my body in adverse ways. I have a weight loss question.? I am a full time student in college, I take 18 credits which is 6 classes, so all day is spent doing homework and sitting in class, I have been working out for the past two week and watching what I eat and I havent loss any weight.
